When first approached with the idea of designing a Formula 1 magazine, I was immediately very enthusiastic!!! I have loved this sport since I was a little boy.

I started out as a fan of Prost before becoming absolutely mad about Schumacher. He’s the only driver for whom I got up in the middle of the night; nothing could have stopped me watching his feats, in far-flung corners of the world, as he fought to win his first world championship. Once during the Japanese Grand Prix I can remember jumping around and shouting, at 5 o’clock in the morning, in a hotel room during a trip to the Périgord. My girlfriend at the time didn’t seem too perturbed as she finally agreed to marry me a few years later.

Thinking about the magazine brought back memories of the many races I had seen while admiring the talents of Lauda, Piquet, Senna, Alonso, Raïkonnen, Button and Hamilton, to name just a few.

But after the initial euphoria, like waking up with hangover, I began to think that there was nothing new to say on the subject.

Then I suddenly had the idea of creating something different: the first F1 magazine that doesn’t talk about Formula 1!

In other words, meeting important people with close links to Formula 1 but discussing other subjects with them. Having found my editorial approach I decided to give free rein to my imagination and to the talents of my friends/contributors to present this website as an inspiration book.

Madness coupled with passion drives us in certain directions. This magazine is designed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts and places great emphasis on Art, creativity and the sheer joy of being alive.

It’s the kind of challenge that I love and I should like to thank all those who have helped me with this venture and enabled the creation of inspirationf1.com.
